    The Research Information Network, in cooperation with a host of other key organisations, is launching a series of new projects looking at transitions in scholarly communications.

    The first four projects will look at: the issues around moving to electronic-only publication; the gaps that affect researchers access to journal articles; raising an understanding of the changes taking place and their effects on practice, business models and organisational culture; and looking at the possible future scenarios for scholarly communications over the next ten years.
