I am looking at Collaborative Collection Management (CCM) in libraries supporting research. This is not just for academic libraries. This is relevant to all libraries with significant collections are equally of interest.

CCM means many things to many people: management of disposal policies, managing serials acquisition, collaborative storage, agreements between to nearby libraries to cover a less well used subject area?..

There are also many views on the value and the cost of CCM. What is your experience of CCM? Where are the successes and what are the problems?
