New job

The first few days and even weeks of a new job are always challenging. You struggle to get to know and understand new surroundings, new colleagues, new practices & policies and probably some new technology - never mind getting to grips with the subject matter of your first new blog post. I’ve been very well supported by my new team, but I wonder what you consider to be the most important essentials for the effective ?Introduction to a new job?? For me it is having one friendly person who you can turn to who you for all the little things as well as the larger ones and who continues to be supportive - even when you have to ask the same question twice.
