The RIN and the Royal Society held this event aimed at library and information services professionals working within learned and professional societies. The main aims of the day were to:

  • address current issues facing learned and professional society libraries.
  • share ideas, experiences and examples of good practice.
  • provide networking opportunities.
  • facilitate communications between different organisations.
  • bridge the gap between learned and professional society libraries and those in higher education institutions.

Available below is the workshop programme, the speaker presentations and a note summarising the main points discussed and key areas for further discussion.

Listen to our podcast of the event with interviews from the key speakers and delegates.

We have also produced a list of useful resources for learned and professional societies, related to our work areas.
