This event launched the RIN’s guidance for senior institutional managers on ensuring library and information services keep up with the changing needs of researchers.

Ensuring a bright future for research libraries: A guide for vice-chancellor and senior institutional managers was launched by Professor Robert Burgess, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Leciester and Chair of the RIN’s Advisory Board, and the RIN’s Director, Michael Jubb discussed the framework the guidance provides in terms of ensuring library and information services keep up with the changing needs of researchers  - their presentations are available below.

A drinks reception followed with music from the Brooks String Quartet and a tour of the Royal College of Physician’s art and silverware collection. The event was attended by chancellors, pro vice-chancellors and senior institutional managers (including research managers and directors) and senior library and information staff.
