Research Communications Group

Established and led by the RIN, this group brings together representatives from the communities involved in scholarly communications. It provides a forum for key stakeholders to discuss areas of common concern and to consider ways to improve policy in scholarly communications and jointly commissions studies.

The group consults on a wide range of issues and aims to present a collective voice when presenting views to policy-makers.

The Director of the RIN acts as chair of the group, and representatives include researchers, research councils, research funders, Universities UK, government, publishers, library and information services and JISC. A list of the current membership is available below.

The group meets up to three times a year and the RIN sets aside a portion of its budget to meet the cost of any activities initiated by the group. Minutes are available below.
