This guide focuses on facilitating Open Access scholarly journals publishing, referring to the publication of peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts under the umbrella of a specific journal title.

The Online Guide to Open Access Journals Publishing is a web-based, and seeks to be a ‘living’ document that allows users to navigate fairly quickly to specific areas of interest. Each chapter contains links to additional resources on the same topic. These take the form of other documents and websites, tools and templates that can be adapted for the user, as well as examples and best practices from other editorial teams to illustrate how the information can be implemented. The authors have looked to apply tables, charts, figures and checklists in place of lengthy text.

Users are encouraged to submit their own best practices and experiences at the bottom of each page as the publishers believe that different experiences can bring insight to others.
