European Planets Project Testbed
As there are several approaches to digital preservation available that make use of a variety of migration, characterisation and emulation tools, it is a task for researchers and policymakers working on preservation to decide on the best approach to take.
This Testbed from the Planets Project provides a dedicated research environment where services and data can be experimented upon. The results can be evaluated and outcomes shared with the wider community, and in this way can help inform policy development by using it as a basis for consultation with a researcher community.
