Joint response, collated by RIN, to Vitae’s consultation on its draft Researcher Development Framework.

The aim of the RDF is to create a framework which will be a tool for planning, promoting and supporting the personal, professional and career development of researchers. It will describe knowledge, skills, behaviours and personal qualities acquired by researchers and will encourage researchers to aspire to excellence through development to a high level. Vitae ran a consultation on a draft of the RDF in November-December 2009. Under the auspices of the Working Group on Information-Handling, RIN collated a response to this on behalf of a range of organisations with an interest in information management. The response is attached below.
