RIN response to the BBSRC and Society of Biology consultation on potential shortages in strategically important and vulnerable research skill areas.

In May 2009, Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and the Biosciences Federation (which has sinced merged with Institute of Biology to become the Society of Biology) launched a consultation over concerns of potential shortages in strategically important and vulnerable ‘niche’ areas of research expertise.

The RIN submitted a response in July 2009 focusing on training related to data management and information handling skills.
