This factsheet explains what is involved in the data management of biocuration and what a career as a biocurator looks like.

One of the recommendations in a recent RIN report, Patterns of information use and exchange: case studies of researchers in the life sciences, was the need for key organisations to support and develop emerging careers related to data management. As a result RIN has begun to look at the support available for emerging careers in the life sciences.
